Beginning life as a couture-level textiles company, family-run Milanese label Etro was established in 1968. Alongside his antiques-dealer wife Roberta, founder Gerolamo ‘Gimmo’ Etro amassed an impressive collection of antique shawls which still serve as inspiration for the house’s striking prints to this day. Signature paisley patterns, floral jacquards and kaleidoscopic stripes all add up to colour each Italian-made collection with a free-spirited bohemian feel that calls to mind far-flung destinations. Creative Director Marco De Vincenzo continues to delve into the extensive archives to present an eclectically elegant range of sweaters, polo shirts and trousers.
