Established in 1953 by Italian athletic star Ottavio Missoni and his wife Rosita, Missoni rose to prominence in the early 1960s, when the couple began using machinery intended to make shawls and bedspreads to create clothing. The signature zigzag knit was born, and has since seen thousands of colourful incarnations in clothing and homeware. Having honed his skills at Givenchy, Maison Margiela and Burberry, Filippo Grazioli was appointed as a creative director in 2022 to build on the label’s vibrant archives with a fresh, contemporary perspective. Look out for the luxury label’s T-shirts, polos and sweaters patterned with vibrant zigzags and geometric motifs.
