‘Casual and classic, but above all timeless’ is how Diane Kordas describes her fine jewellery label, founded in 2000. The native New Yorker graduated from Parson’s School of Design before a fated trip to Athens, where she was inspired by the local mythology and the notion of jewellery worn as personal talismans – the Mediterranean’s storied Evil Eye motif is a particular inspiration. Today, Kordas operates in London, specialising in personal pieces cast from 18kt gold with diamonds and sapphires, designed to elevate the everyday.
