What the role is

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Measuring Technician to lead a team of 4 in our Wembley Distribution Centre. As the Team Leader, you will ensure all RTW and accessories across womenswear and menswear are accurately measured and recorded within our CMS, and the correct size & fit information is clearly communicated to the customer while line managing a team of 4 in their day-to-day and developing them in their roles. You will have a love of fashion and luxury designers, thrive working in a close knit team and perform well under pressure. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead a team of 4 measuring technicians in capturing all product measurements, making them available for our customers on site 
  • Lead and participate in development projects, ensuring we are constantly reviewing best practice and development opportunities
  • Be the central point of contact for any Studio and DC product size queries
  • Continuously track and manage incoming stock volumes that will require measuring
  • Resource the team as required, based on new product forecasts and team targets
  • Create a daily team schedule to ensure all product types are measured to deadline
  • Train all new and freelance team members
  • Produce a daily EOD update for Studio and DC managers
  • Book all resources and manage invoicing and freelance payments
  • Own all measurement queries coming from customers via our Customer Care team
  • Ensure accuracy across the team at all times
  • Achieve a daily measuring KPI
  • Line manage a team of 4 supporting them in their day-to-day and career development 

About you

  • Pattern-cutting or design background desirable 
  • Good technical and fabric knowledge for both RTW and accessories
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of international Women and Menswear designers, brands and trends
  • Understanding of garment grading 
  • Be self aware and responsive to feedback 
  • Previous experience leading a team 
  • Willing to take on new challenges with a positive, enthusiastic can-do attitude 
  • Some experience with CMS and/or back office systems
  • A proven ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Time keeping and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a close-knit team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
