Amelie von Wedel is the founder of advisory firm Wedel Art, which operates globally with director Pernilla Holmes and a team of art experts. The company collaborates with six leading artists – Jenny Holzer, Rashid Johnson, Barbara Kruger, Raymond Pettibon, Lorna Simpson and Rosemarie Trockel – to create a series of responsibly produced cotton face masks. Proceeds are donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO), Artist Relief, a US coalition of arts grant makers offering emergency support to artists and Common Practice, a partnership between UK-based small-scale not-for-profit spaces.
