Rabanne

Established in the 1960s, French design house Rabanne made waves in the fashion industry for its non-conformist approach and use of unconventional materials with extravagant embellishments. Since 2013, the label has been under the helm of creative director Julien Dossena, who has revamped the brand’s innovative aesthetic for a modern audience. Merging precise craftsmanship with a contemporary eye, the label has expanded its repertoire to include activewear alongside its signature chain-mail dresses and sleek separates. The 1969 collection pays homage to the founding designer’s iconic, provocative use of chainmail in place of traditional fabrics throughout the 1960s and includes nostalgic reimaginings of the paillette-embellished bags and metallic dresses – offering both a vintage and futuristic vision of partywear.
