Cumbria-born artist and textile designer John Booth’s vibrant perspective results in graphic homeware pieces that evoke a playful mood: think striking vases, cushions and blankets. Having shadowed local artists in the Lake District as a child, he then honed his distinctive illustrative style while studying at Central Saint Martins, where he now lectures. Each ceramic piece is expertly hand-painted by the artist, utilising bold brushstrokes in vivid hues to create charming signature faces – each of which is a representation of someone with whom he has had a significant personal encounter.
