House of Aama

House of Aama is a lifestyle label launched in 2013 by mother and daughter Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka. After noticing a niche in the market for culturally resonating fashion, the duo began making their own pieces inspired by the eclectic ethos of the African continent and diaspora. Each collection tells a story – heavily influenced by Black folklore – and everything from flowing dresses to statement swimwear is expertly crafted in LA following a low-waste model. Expect vibrant colours and elegant silhouettes that display in-house developed prints, fabrics and illustrations.
