Italian shoe label Aquazzura was founded by designer Edgardo Osorio after a summer spent attending weddings and parties with his female friends who lamented the uncomfortableness of their beautiful shoes. The experience made Osorio realise there was a need for a luxury footwear label that prioritised both aesthetics and comfort equally. Osorio studied at both London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins before working at several major fashion houses. Soon after the launch of Aquazzura in 2011, his shoe collections – known for their colourful palettes, decorative details and signature sexy silhouettes – garnered a stylish celebrity following.
