Stone Island
Informed by the study of military uniforms and practical workwear, Stone Island is driven by meticulous fabric research and trailblazing technological design. Having started out as a graphic artist in Bologna in the 1970s, founder Massimo Osti began experimenting with textiles at CP Company before establishing Stone Island in 1982. The Italian designer’s ingenious vision has allowed the outerwear label to remain at the cutting-edge of innovative garment-dyeing techniques ever since. Now under the creative direction of Carlo Rivetti, the brand continues to grow its devoted global following through a collection of utilitarian-inspired coats, jackets and low-key staples in an array of impactful colours, each hallmarked with a signature buttoned-down Compass patch.
