Alighieri

Oxford graduate Rosh Mahtani founded Alighieri in 2014, inspired by the trials and tribulations of characters featured in Dante Alighieri’s 14th century epic poem Divine Comedy. Drawing on her own experiences of loss and misdirection, Mahtani translates the literature’s encounters into characterful jewellery that celebrates the beauty of imperfection, designed to be worn as talismans of courage and inspiration. Today, the label operates out of Hatton Garden in London, handcrafting a mystical selection of medallion necklaces, mismatched earrings and textured rings using a traditional lost-wax casting process and finished with recycled 24kt gold plating.
