For Venice Beach native and ERL founder Eli Russell Linnetz, no place is quite as inspirational as Los Angeles. From the celebrity-stalked boulevards of Hollywood to the congregating creatives of Santa Monica, the diversity of California’s cultural capital has been instrumental in honing a free-spirited aesthetic that also extends across photography, filmmaking and set design. Known for an oeuvre that marries equal measures of nostalgic charm with tongue-in-cheek worldliness, the designer presents classic Americana with a subversive twist and a modern take on the Golden State’s iconic mythology.
