Twins and third-generation jewellers Anna Amsalem and Rachel Kahlun celebrate the romantic sentiments of unity and personalisation through their NYC-based brand Gemella. Founded in 2019 and named after the Italian term for ‘twin’, the label presents a multitude of everyday and special occasion jewels inspired by the bygone-era glamour of 20th century design and personal family heirlooms. The design duo built on their natural affinity for precious stones with training at GIA and Tel Aviv’s Diamond District, debuting their elegant aesthetic at the Couture Jewellery show in 2022. Look out for the signature bezel-set Sweetheart necklaces – with unique pairings of opal, chrysoprase, peridot and emeralds – and collections of precision-cut diamond letter initials, all rendered in solid 18kt gold.
