A protégé of Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe began his career as a pattern maker at Comme des Garçons. In 1993, he established his own label under the Japanese fashion house called Junya Watanabe Comme de Garçons. Today, creativity and precision inform the avant-garde label's designs.
