Establishing his eponymous label in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent revolutionised fashion for the contemporary woman. Having trained under Christian Dior as a teenager, the French designer originally focused on Haute Couture before turning his attention to launching a prêt-à-porter line brimming with sharp tailoring and elegant eveningwear. One of the most prominent houses of the 20th century, it’s been led creatively by Anthony Vaccarello since 2016 who pays tribute to the Maison’s history and unmistakable Parisian spirit through sophisticated, high-octane collections that seamlessly fuse heritage and modernity. Look out for statement-making cocktail dresses, leather jackets and elevated basics that can be paired with the house’s selection of bags such as the Loulou, the Niki and the Envelope – all hallmarked with the iconic gold YSL moniker.
