The ‘Ambition to Create Novel Expressions’ motivated Stockholmer Jonny Johansson to launch Acne Studios. Founded in the late 1990s, the label began by creating 100 pairs of jeans with distinctive red stitching to be given to family and friends. Today, Acne Studios' collections are inspired by the creative director's love of art, photography and architecture, presenting a perfectly edited urban uniform. Channel its effortlessly cool Scandinavian aesthetic with contemporary wardrobe staples such as leather biker jackets, retro-tinged denim, nylon bags and colourful fringed scarves. You’ll find the signature Face logo patch – designed to embody the state of being called 'lagom' in Swedish, which is neither happy nor sad – decorating everything from ready-to-wear to accessories.
