Vivienne Westwood rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s as part of the British punk movement. Starting out creating clothes for her then-partner, and Sex Pistols manager, Malcolm McLaren’s King’s Road boutique in 1971, 10 years later she showed her first collection at London fashion week. Today, the British label continues to bring the rebellious spirit of punk to mainstream fashion through its avant-garde designs – strong tailoring, romantic details and heritage prints are mainstays in its dramatic collections.
